Miranda Bianchi (she/they) is a compassionate and dedicated social worker who holds a Master of Social Work from Binghamton University and a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Oswego University. Her unique background supports her creative, relational approach to therapy. Miranda has worked with children and adolescents for over a decade, and is experienced in working with ADHD, anxiety, neurodivergence, trauma, depression, OCD, and Autism Spectrum Disorders, as well as navigating the challenges and joys of emerging adulthood, parenting neurodivergent children, and exploring sexual and gender identity.
Miranda utilizes a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach that emphasizes the importance of the therapeutic relationship. They employ evidence-based practices such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems therapy and expressive arts therapy. Additionally, they enjoy running therapeutic tabletop role-playing games, providing a creative outlet for self-expression, exploration, and social-emotional learning. With many years of experience in public schools, they are well-versed in navigating the educational system to best support their clients.
Miranda has significant experience working with gender-expansive children and adolescents, and is passionate about working with individuals exploring their gender identity. She believes in creating a safe and affirming space for clients to explore their identities and experiences, grounded in anti-oppressive practices that honor and validate diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
In their free time, Miranda can be found reading books on Greek mythology, playing Dungeons & Dragons, and looking after her two mischievous cats.
