Training: Duke University (PhD Clinical Psychology), Seattle Children’s Hospital (Internship & Fellowship)

Dr. Blomquist is a licensed clinical psychologist who enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults. Her clients come to her with a wide range of issues interfering with what they want most in life and she works within an evidence-based framework, utilizing approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help them overcome those obstacles. Dr. Blomquist enjoys working with her clients in a collaborative way to approach their problems head on. 

Dr. Blomquist has advanced training and specialization in the treatment of anxiety and depression.  One of the areas Dr. Blomquist is passionate about is the treatment of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder utilizing exposure and response prevention (ERP).  She has considerable prior training in the treatment of youth and young adults across multiple clinical settings.

An upstate New York native, Dr. Blomquist went to Cornell University for her undergraduate degree.  She obtained her PhD in clinical psychology at Duke University and her pre-doctoral internship at Seattle Children’s Hospital through the University of Washington Medical Center. She pursued focused training in anxiety at the Evidence-Based Treatment Center of Seattle for her post-doctoral program.  Dr. Blomquist wove her developmental research interests into her clinical work, with her masters and dissertation focusing on the forms and functions of cross-sex friendships and jealousy triangles among college students.  Prior to joining MindWell, Dr. Blomquist worked as a psychologist at Cornell University, where she was honored to work with incredible students navigating the terrain of young adulthood.
