Dave Oh is an expert in working with couples with depression and anxiety as well as individuals struggling with mood and anxiety issues, PTSD, grief, and relationship issues. Prior to joining MindWell, Dave worked at the University of Albany's Psychological Services Center. During his master's program, his internship focused on group work with people who struggle with substance addiction as well as addiction to gambling.
Dave is in his third year of training to receive his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at the University at Albany. His research focuses on counseling interventions for substance and behavioral addiction as well as co-occurring mental health concerns. He is also interested in risk and protective factors for addictive behaviors, especially among marginalized or underrepresented populations. When not working, Dave enjoys spending time with his wife and children, traveling, and playing the clarinet.
