Dr. Arielle Wolinsky (she/her) is a post-doctoral fellow at MindWell. She specializes in working with adults of culturally diverse backgrounds and identities. Dr. Wolinsky’s therapeutic treatment approach includes the evidence-based practices of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and other mindfulness-based interventions to best serve the client’s needs, preferences, and treatment goals. Dr. Wolinsky’s clinical interests include values-driven living, women’s health, life transitions, self-compassion, Intuitive Eating, disordered eating, body dissatisfaction, anxiety disorders, and health behavior change. Additionally, Dr. Wolinsky has a clinical interest in supporting individuals who identify as a “Highly Sensitive Person” (HSP) or process information deeply, experience overstimulation, are emotionally responsive, and sense environmental subtleties. Her research background includes examination of risk and protective factors, such as self-compassion, of disordered eating in emerging adults. Dr. Wolinsky strives to create a warm, compassionate, and welcoming space and aims to guide individuals towards developing self-compassion and living a values-driven, meaningful life.
In addition to her passion for clinical work, Dr. Wolinsky also enjoys teaching Psychology courses and mentoring undergraduates to help them explore their professional and personal goals and values. When not working, she enjoys spending time with family, gardening, cooking, being in nature, meditating, and mindfully sipping an espresso.
